TAG Summer Camp 2026 at Longwood: A Deeper Learning Experience for Gifted Students

For students who are ready to be challenged, inspired, and fully engaged in their learning, the Talented and Gifted (TAG) Summer Camp 2026 at Longwood University offers a truly unique opportunity.

Designed specifically for students identified as gifted, this two-week camp provides an enriching academic experience that goes far beyond the traditional classroom. The program will run Monday through Friday, June 15–26, 2026, on Longwood University’s campus, and is open to students in rising grades 4–7.

Throughout the camp, students will participate in a full-day schedule from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, engaging in four different courses each day. This multi-course format allows students to explore a variety of subjects while maintaining the depth and rigor that gifted learners need.

The TAG Summer Camp experience is centered on hands-on, inquiry-based learning. Courses are designed to challenge students to think critically, solve problems, and explore new ideas through meaningful, engaging activities. Whether students are diving into STEM concepts, exploring creative disciplines, or developing strategic thinking skills, each course encourages active participation and deeper understanding.

What makes this program especially valuable is its focus on both variety and depth. Students are exposed to multiple subject areas each day, while also being given the opportunity to engage thoughtfully and push their thinking further than they might in a traditional setting.

In addition to the academic benefits, TAG Camp provides a space for students to connect with like-minded peers who share their curiosity and enthusiasm for learning. This creates an environment where students feel supported, challenged, and excited to explore new ideas.

If your child thrives on challenge, enjoys exploring new concepts, and benefits from a fast-paced, engaging learning environment, TAG Summer Camp 2026 is an exceptional opportunity to grow both academically and personally.
